How Feelspace CARE works

Technology that supports your care pathway.

Your facility and the qualified healthcare provider remain responsible for the clinical service. Feelspace provides the live hologram presence technology and presentation setup.

1

Identify the use case

Your facility and provider decide whether a remote consultation or session is clinically and operationally appropriate.

2

Confirm the practitioner

The health or allied-health professional remains responsible for their service, qualifications and clinical obligations.

3

Feelspace connects the presence

The practitioner appears live and life-size through the Feelspace unit using an agreed remote connection.

4

Your team supports the resident

Facility staff provide the local support, privacy, consent and clinical context required for the session.

Clinical governance matters

Feelspace provides the presence. Qualified providers provide the care.

CARE is intentionally structured as technology infrastructure, not a replacement for clinical judgment, facility governance or professional standards.

The practitioner and aged care provider determine whether remote delivery is appropriate for the resident, the service and the circumstances.

Important operational principles

  • Residents should participate with appropriate consent and support.
  • Only suitably qualified professionals should provide regulated health services.
  • The facility remains responsible for resident suitability, local supervision and its care obligations.
  • Privacy, data handling and provider-specific telehealth requirements must be addressed before clinical use.
  • Feelspace CARE should complement — not replace — face-to-face care where physical examination or in-person attendance is required.
Practical questions

Feelspace CARE for aged care homes.

Clear answers for managers, clinical leaders and care teams considering life-size remote specialist access.

Is Feelspace CARE a healthcare provider?
No. Feelspace CARE is a remote-presence technology service. Healthcare, allied-health and regulated clinical services must be provided by appropriately qualified professionals and governed by the relevant provider and aged care home.
Is this the same as a normal telehealth video call?
The communication is still remote and live, but the presentation is different. Feelspace is designed to show the practitioner at human scale through the hologram unit rather than as a small face on a laptop, tablet or wall-mounted screen.
Which health professionals could potentially use CARE?
Potential examples include geriatric medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, podiatry, speech pathology, mental-health professionals and nursing support, subject to the provider's scope, clinical suitability and relevant legal or professional requirements.
Does the practitioner need to be physically near our facility?
No. The purpose of CARE is to enable an appropriately qualified professional to connect remotely. The practitioner could be elsewhere in the same city, another region or further away, provided the agreed technology and clinical requirements are met.
What does our facility need to provide?
A suitable private or appropriate room, power, a stable internet connection, resident coordination and any local staff support required for the specific service. Clinical use may also require additional provider-specific privacy, consent, documentation and governance arrangements.
Can CARE replace face-to-face medical appointments?
Not automatically. The treating professional and aged care provider must determine whether remote care is appropriate. Some consultations may work well remotely, while others will still require physical assessment or in-person attendance.
Can we see Feelspace CARE before considering a pilot?
Yes. A demonstration can show your management and care teams how the life-size remote presence works and help identify which non-emergency care pathways may be worth exploring with your existing professional partners.
